Our focus is to bring high quality aesthetic solutions to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand while facilitating a more attainable aesthetics journey for all.

Hugel Aesthetics plans to accelerate its global expansion by bringing a full aesthetic portfolio to the US, Canada, and Australia.

Our LetibotulinumtoxinA for Injection for the treatment of glabellar lines is under review in the US and Australia. It is currently available in 28 countries worldwide, with recent approvals in Europe and Canada.

Our HA dermal filler line, manufactured by Croma-Pharma GmbH, is available in Canada and Australia. The Croma HA dermal filler line includes saypha® FILLER Lidocaine, saypha® VOLUME Lidocaine, and the newest addition, saypha® VOLUME PLUS Lidocaine. The launch of saypha® VOLUME PLUS Lidocaine is now underway in Canada and expected later this year in Australia.

Our people

Jim Hartman

Jim joined Hugel Aesthetics in May 2020 as the President.

Jim has over twenty years of commercial and executive experience building multiple market-leading brands in Aesthetics, Medical Devices, and Pharmaceuticals, including his most recent tenure as Chief Commercial Officer, Alastin Skincare. At Alastin, he led the company to numerous years of market-leading growth through enhanced strategies, organizational expansion, and customer-centric commercial execution. His experience also includes successful commercial leadership roles at Solta, Merz Aesthetics, Obagi, Stiefel and Allergan.

He holds a B.A. in Social Science from the University of California, Irvine. He resides in Southern California with his family.

Michelle Barrineau
Vice President, Marketing

Michelle Barrineau joined Hugel Aesthetics in July 2021 as the Vice President of Marketing. In this role she will be leading the marketing strategy for the aesthetic portfolio in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Michelle has over 30 years of sales, marketing, and leadership experience. Her career in the dermatology/aesthetic space started at Galderma in 1992; she then went on to lead sales, marketing, and professional relations teams at Stiefel/GSK, Merz and Dermira. Prior to Hugel, Michelle served as Executive Director of Marketing at Solta Medical, a division of Bausch Health.

Michelle received a BA in Communications for Business from Florida State University and a Marketing Essentials certificate from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She resides in Cary, NC with her family.

Stephanie Heller
Vice President, Human Resources

Stephanie Heller joined Hugel Aesthetics as the Vice President of Human Resources in November 2021. In this role, Stephanie will leverage her more than 25 years human resources and leadership development experience to grow and develop our talent base, build an outstanding culture and implement an unforgettable employee experience to drive business outcomes.

Stephanie joined us from Edwards Lifesciences where she served as the Head of Human Resources for the Surgical Structural Heart business. Her career also includes global human resources leadership roles at Allergan, Johnson and Johnson and Hologic.

Stephanie holds a BS in Management and Human Resources from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, an MBA from Walden University, and multiple certifications from Cornell University. She resides in Dana Point, CA with her twin daughters.

Ryan Irvine, Ph.D.
Vice President, Medical Affairs

Ryan Irvine joined Hugel in November 2021 as Vice President, Medical Affairs.

He is an accomplished scientist and corporate executive working across technical fields for more than 15 years. In biotechnology, Dr. Irvine has accumulated direct and meaningful experience in medical communications, nonclinical and clinical development, regulatory strategy, commercialization, and product launch. He has held leadership roles in innovative companies focused on dermatology and aesthetics including Allergan, Kythera, and UNITY Biotechnology.

Dr. Irvine holds B.S. (Biochemistry) and M.S. (Neurobiology) degrees from Boston College and received his Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Southern California.

Fran Reid
Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance & Quality Assurance

Fran is a seasoned regulatory and quality executive with over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. She joined Hugel Aesthetics in January 2021.

Her career in the dermatology/aesthetic space started at Medicis in 2001; with experience in all phases of regulatory pharmaceutical and medical devices lifecycle management from clinical development to marketing approval. She has a proven track record of building and managing regulatory and quality departments for global organizations holding various positions of leadership.

Fran is a long time resident of the state of Arizona and completed her education at Northern Arizona University in the field of Communications and received her Regulatory Affairs Certification from the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society. She currently resides in Scottsdale with her family.

Angie Wang
Vice President, Supply Chain & Technical Operations

Angie joined Hugel Aesthetics in July 2021 as the VP of Technical Operations and Supply Chain.

Angie has over twenty years of manufacturing and supply chain experience in the bio/pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices industry. She started her career at Genentech and Connetics Corporation. Then joined Valeant Pharmaceuticals Intl. as Director of Strategic Sourcing where she built, managed, and led project teams to successfully launched multiple products and achieving savings through cost reduction programs. She was then recruited by Abbott Diabetes Care, a division of Abbott Laboratories as their Director of Worldwide Contract Manufacturing and later Business Operations.

She holds an MBA from University of San Francisco; a B.A. with double major in Molecular and Cell Biology and Economics from the University of California, Berkeley; and a certification for project management from UC Berkeley.

Bob Bennett
General Manager, Canada

Bob joined Hugel Aesthetics in April 2021 as the General Manager for Canada.

Bob brings over 25 years of sales, marketing and executive leadership experience in the dermatology and aesthetics space, building high performing teams and leading organizational growth. In his most recent role, Bob served as President and General Manager of Merz Aesthetics in Canada, where he led the organization through unprecedented growth and propelled it to one of the top performing affiliates in the global organization.

Bob received a BA in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo and resides in Uxbridge Ontario.

Troy Guthrie
Managing Director, Australia & New Zealand

Troy joined Hugel Aesthetics (Croma Australia) as Managing Director Australia and New Zealand in April 2019.

Troy is an experienced Pharmaceutical and Healthcare executive with over 25 years’ experience, focused on Marketing, Business Development and General Management in the Dermatology / Aesthetic space. Troy’s more recent tenures, include, General Manager of Stiefel Laboratories and Founder and COO of First Pharma Pty Ltd.

Troy holds a BCom in Marketing from UWS and a Mgt (Marketing) from Macquarie Graduate School. Troy resides in Sydney, Australia with his son.
